'Lalandei Monrovia' is a cultivar that is particularly noted for its upright habit, abundant orange-red berries and quality dark green foliage. Profuse clusters of tiny white flowers in corymbs appear in spring on spurs along the prior year’s wood. Flowers are unpleasantly aromatic. Flowers give way to pea-sized orange-red fruits which ripen in September and persist into winter. Glossy brown branches are armed with thorns to 3/4" long.
